Zell am See Winter Elopement
Zell am See combines frozen lake views, snowy mountains, cozy alpine atmosphere, and one of Austria’s most romantic winter settings. The lake reflects the surrounding peaks beautifully during winter, especially at sunrise and sunset. Maria Alm is one of Austria’s hidden gems for a winter elopement. - Birgkar Chalets: mountain hideaway on high altitude, modern chalets with cozy vibes, private spa in most chalets
- Hüttendorf Maria Alm: nice chalets but not as luxurious as the other options but wonderful views and numerous different chalets options available
Hallstatt Winter Elopement
Of course Hallstatt has to be on the list as it’s one of Austria’s most famous elopement locations. Hallstatt is a super picturesque town, although because of it’s fame, very busy. That’s why we, your experienced elopement photo & video duo, would suggest to have the ceremony outside of the town on the mountains nearby, and just visit Hallstatt for a stroll through the city, some lake photos and of course to visit the christmas market. The best and easiest mountain top to reach here is the Krippenstein, with stunning views.

Innsbruck Winter Elopement
Innsbruck is a great region to have your winter elopement since it’s mostly very snow-sure with a very accessible mountain top called Nordkette. The cable car starts directly at the city center, which leads us to the top station, from where we only need to (snow-shoe) hike for about 10-20 minutes to the top with beautiful views. There’s also the possibility to snowboard/ski down afterwards if you want to. Innsbruck itself is also very cute, of course with several christmas markets in the main area. And there’s also a glacier called Stubai Glacier in the area, approx. 1 hour drive from Innsbruck.
